The Challenge
After we built Mabo Coffee's main online store, the team came back with a new project: a separate shop dedicated entirely to their B2B customers. This wasn't going to be a typical store open to anyone - access had to be controlled, granted only to businesses that applied through a form and got approved by the Mabo team. On top of that, every approved partner needed their own deal. Different bonuses, different discounts, different conditions all tied to whatever was negotiated with that specific business. Shopify doesn't offer this kind of flexibility out of the box, so the challenge was to make all of it feel seamless on the customer's side, while giving Mabo full control behind the scenes.

We built the new B2B shop on Shopify, keeping it consistent with the main Mabo experience while shaping it into something completely different under the hood. The store is gated by an application form: businesses fill it in, the Mabo team reviews each request, and only approved partners get access to the shop. From there, we layered in all the B2B logic the client needed - bonuses, discounts, and special conditions assigned per partner based on their individual deal. We built this with a mix of custom Liquid code and dedicated Shopify apps we developed specifically for Mabo, so every rule works exactly the way their business does. The result is a Shopify store that feels clean and familiar on the outside, but is fully tailored to B2B on the inside.
